Hi There
Not really sure where to start but I was getting some brown spotting on Tuesday and decided to call the midwife even though I thought it would all be ok as it was brown.
She advised me to call the Dr who put me through to EPU.
I finally got a scan for Thursday at 4pm and I was still convinced I was wasting everyone's time.
I went for the scan and she asked if she could do an internal as she couldn't see much, I instantly knew that something was wrong. I was then told that the foetus had stopped growing at 7-8 weeks but the sac had continued to grow (which explained my expaning belly). Was totally numb to be honest. I was advised to come back to the hospital the following day as I wasn't in pain and not bleeding heavily.
Me & DH went back today and I was talked through my options. We decided to go for medical management as things didn't seem to be doing anything on there own. I was given the first tablet today and have to go back on Sunday for the next lot and pessary.
I am feeling so so emotional today and trying to hold it together as I have my niece staying with me.
I am very nervous about Sunday. Has anyone experienced medical management?
Just wanted to share my story and send hugs to everyone that has been through this
