I should proberly post this in feeding and nutrition but there seems to be more traffic in here. I am exclusivly breast feeding Alex and the last week or so started to express so that OH can give her a feed before bed and also so I can take a bottle out with me (Im not the most discrete person in the world lol) I keep the milk in the back of the fridge until I use it. The milk always splits so there is like a layer of fatty stuff on the top of the milk when i shake it it is ok again 90% of the time but sometimes it almost looks like its curdled and I dont know why. Does anyone else who expresses have this problem and if so Is it ok to feed the milk i have been chucking it away when it does this (it pains me to do so :( lol) xxx

it is the fattier hindmilk, nothing wrong with it hun.

What bev said :) I just give it a shake so it mixes back up and find after I've warmed it it goes back to normal xx

Don't shake it! Swish it around gently. Shaking it affects the milk I believe as microwaving does.

Thank you i dont have to throw any way anymore yey xx
