Well I saw my midwife today - baby is head down and she said that I was a 'fair size' and raised her eyebrows! She said that baby is not a tiddler..
Anyway, I asked her if my bloods came back ok from my 28 wk appointment, more importantly my iron levels. She checked and then said, 'oh, they have dropped a bit, from 13.7 to 10.6'. She suggested I see the doctor this week to see if I need to take iron tablets However, this was blood taken 6 weeks ago - surely if they were falling then they are more likely to be lower now? I would have though she would have wanted me to have another test. I know that 10.6 isnt bad, its still within normal range but I would much rather them be higher before I give birth in the even that I happen to lose blood iykwim? Also my blood pressure has gone up a little but Im putting that down to more hassle Ive had from my sister over the weekend
So I see her again in two weeks. Also had my second Anti-D injection which chuffing well hurt! Overall Im pleased but think that the drop in iron is responsible for me not being able to get my breath at the top of the stairs and then having to sit down. We'll see.
