Anemia

I had my routine 28 week bloods done at the hospital and they said Im anemic so I got some iron tablets and thought that was it.

Anyway, the midwife rang me this morning and said I need another blood tests to check my iron levels again. Im just wondering why they need to check it, its not like the iron tablets could've taken effect yet cos I've only been on them a few days

She said I need the results ready for when I see the consultant in 2 weeks.

Anyone know why they need to take more blood?

She might just be keeping an eye on you
It only takes a few days for the iron tablets to work.
when they take your bloods, they last for 2 weeks, so maybe its something to do with seeing ur consultant in 2 weeks.
