Midwife at 5-6 week?

I moved to a new doctors not long ago and the first appointment I could get to register with them is a couple of week away and I rang Monday to see if I could get an earlier appointment as ive just found out I am pregnant and they couldnt so just give me the number for a midwife at local surestart so I've got an appointment for Monday.

This is only 5-6 week into my pregnancy so what will this appointment be for?
