Hello

I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere I could take the kids to... on the train.
Say 30 mins max on the train from Birmingham, with something good to see/do within easy walking distance of the station.

an anyone suggest anything?

Theres loads of craft classes and stuff at the art gallery and loads of stuff going on in the city each day, plus the art gallery also has an exhibition with big sculptures you can get into (its free and to be fair theres not that much in it but combined with the other stuff it's good).

Or how about Stratford and hire a rowing boat, do the butterfly farm ect ??

oh yeah I was thinking about the worcester thing the other day.

Stratford is lovely too I have been a few times, that park is fab. You just have to get there really early cos of how packed it gets. Might feel brave enough on a nice day soon :)

I am loving Worcester at the moment, it's so close to us and I had never really ventured until a friend dragged me along, plus if it rains theres a great soft play centre called Mad Hatters that has loads of baby friendly space and a proper soft play thing with all the slides and cargo nets and stuff, then on the next floor up they have go-karts, table tennis ect! A group of us usually have a weekly afternoon session there on a Wednesday or Thursday now because it suits everybodies children!

Telford is only about 40 minutes and they have a great park with Wonderland in it.... Lots of great climbing frames and places for picnics as well as a lake with boats.
