Met my Male Midwife for the first time!

Had my first Midwife appointment with David my male midwife. Don't really know what I was expecting him to look like but he was around his 40s, short with really hairy arms and balding a bit on top. At first I must admit it was a little odd, it felt like I was seeing my GP rather than a midwife, he was in a shirt and trousers and I was expecting scrubs of some sort

Anyway, once I relaxed he was actually a really nice guy and absolutely brilliant at taking bloods (I have awful veins so it took a couple of tries in both arms but barely hurt), he also gave us his mobile phone number if we have any concerns at all throughout the pregnancy. Turns out he is the manager of all the midwifes in my area so I feel pretty special to have him

We were in there for just over an hour getting my bounty pack, notes, height & weight done etc. Really happy
