I am aware there is probly not many car enthusiasts over here, but what a lovely thing to do. No parent should outlive their child!

I only found out about this at about 2:15pm. I did a bit of Internet research and found out they'd be hitting Junction 14 of the M6 at around 3pm. I live in Stafford between J14 and 13, so I grabbed my cameras, hopped in my car and drove to one of the bridges over the M6!
3pm came and still no sign of anything. I was worried I'd missed it, but seeing the odd Impreza going the other way kept me there. I did see a convoy of four heading north on the M6 and assumed they were going to the next junction to turn around and join the convoy (as I'd read that the main parade would be stopping in various services along the way and people would be tagging along).
I could see a couple of people gathering on a bridge further down, so that also kept my hopes up!
Then a car appeared on "my" bridge and a family got out. They lived nearby and had come down from Middlesbrough, they said that every bridge on the M6 had people on it, some totally packed, but they didn't know why. I explained, and thanked them, as they'd proved I definitely hadn't missed it!
At about 3:45pm they came into view! It was pretty amazing! Imprezas in the inside lane of the motorway for about 20 minutes solid! All of them waving, beeping and flashing their lights!
Unfortunately, I don't think I caught Colin's championship winning 555 car which was being driven by his dad, Jimmy. It was supposed to be leading the pack, but it wasn't when they appeared, and they were coming so thick and fast I didn't spot it!
Anyway, a few pics!
And a video...
