I'd love to go for an early scan but unfortunately I live in the back of beyond and it would be at least a 3 hour round trip plus the cost of the scan we can't justify doing it. So I'm going to have to wait until some time in October for the 12 week scan. Im reassured by how sick I am and I canfeel my abdomen ggrowing. It feels really full this morning where my womb is 1st trimester is really torturous isn't it

Gd luck at mw Gayle , I've for midwife next Tuesday 3.30 for first booking we have 2 first one is a chat with a group of preg woman I wasn't gonna go but I thought oh stuff it il go n hope I don't recognise anyone lol , in going to be ringing epu for a scan for about 9.10 weeks due to previous losses I could have earlier one but ivhadnonw at 7 weeks and saw a hb then went bk at 10 weeks and it was gone I can't go through that again so opting for later scan unless I get bleeding or pain that is xx

Eeeeh I just booked an early scan for Fri 27th. It was only £35 so I couldn't resist! I'll only be 6+6 but because of work and the fact I'm going on hol the following week it was all I could get! Should I be able to see heartbeat at 6+6? xxx

Can people tell me when they first spoke to the midwife?! As in when they first called you to book appointment? I'm 5+3 the Drs have known for a week and still I've heard nothing...: I'm forever checking my phone for missed calls lol

Eeeee Dooeyona how exciting! I'll look forward to the pics! If I saw the option for an early scan for £35 I'd snap there hands off! Although OH and I have said we'd pay at 9 weeks, it's only £50 which I don't think is bad at all to say your going to see your baby for the fist time x

I saw my GP on Tues 10th (4+3), midwife phoned me to book an apt on Sat 14th (5 wks) and my apt is on Sun this week (6+1).

See my GP didn't even wanna see me which surprises me as I have a really rough medical history that could make this a bumpy road, receptionist just took my details and said they'd pass them over to MW who would call.... I'm too impatient for this waiting malarkey! Goodness knows how I'm gonna cope with 9 months of waiting haha x

That's me back from seeing the midwife. It was a first appointment rather than a booking appointment. Worked out my edd (which is wrong as I know when I ovulated but she didn't seem fussed about that!) Took my height and weight and blood pressure. Ran through some general questions about my health, smoking and drinking and then took some details about family and support in the area.

My booking appointment is scheduled for 10th October at 9.15 and they've also booked me in for an early scan on Monday at 11.20 when I will be 6+3! I'm excited but terrified there won't be anything there or we'll not see the heartbeat.

That's a good price for your early scan dooeyna. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for you!

U should see a hb at 6+4 if ur dates are correct it will be an internal dildo cam as I call it lol but it's painless just a tad uncomfy , that's what my first app will be like Gayle them booking in will be about 2 weeks later I think x

Gayle can I be cheeky and ask why they've booked you a scan? Even if it's an internal one I didn't realise they did that! I'm now gutted I'm not seeing anyone next week but I new it was right seeing the midwife before 8 weeks, in our area anyway x

It's because I had an early miscarriage back in March and because of my blood clotting condition.

Vic, it's a local company called baby scan studio perth. I think it's cheaper because it's not a big company based in a big city but a local, family run business. Good credentials / qualification though, great reviews and based in a reputable business centre so I'm happy it's all above board!

Hope you ladies are all doing well! Feeling like a moan as my midwife finally called today after I called the doctor to chase and I'm not being seen until October 11th when I will be 9+2! I'm dead dissapointed as I haven't even seen a doctor so far. I let them know at 4 weeks so don't know how people go on if you find out late! Oh well! Good luck with all your appointments and early scans : ) xx
