Ooh you two live near my old stomping ground! If I was still living in Brum I'd be at good hope, but having said that all my best friends had their babies their this last year and all had really bad experiences so I'm glad I'm down in Cornwall now! Having said that I'd love to be back in Brum when my baby is here so I could have my friends and family around, it's going to be hard being down here without my close female friends to call on. X

My scan also went well ladies. I first went in and she couldn't get the measurements and see things properly as my bladder was too full. She told me to go and empty it. I came back and then she said it was too empty! I'd to go and sit in the the waiting room for another 20 minutes sipping water. Third time lucky though! Bubs must have been asleep as he/she was not moving at all but it's heart was pumping away on the screen. It meant that she got some excellent pictures and they are super clear. You can clearly see the brain in its little head which I never thought you could see. I had been put forward 3 days over the course of my early scans but she has measured me back at my original due date of 16th May so I'm 12+3 today, roll on Tri 2 on Friday!

We told our family at the weekend and very close friends and then today I announced it to my department. So glad it is out in the open now and everyone understands why I've been funny with smells of food in the department at lunchtime and why I've been looking so tired.

Tell me to stop being miserable! We announced the news yesterday to friends and family by sending a cute photo - not a scan photo. The people I expected to be happy for us or say congratulations - none of them have and I know it's stupid as they don't really matter in the grand scheme of things and I'm obviously hormonal but feeling a little sad that they don't wish us well :/ lol what am I like?!

Oh ur ok my own sister didn't even congratulate me she just moans at my mother saying how selfish I am I should be lucky I have the6 I have and not have any more! And my friend she did t even congratulate me either more did a lot of ppl I know irl , well screw them if they have nothing nice to say then so be it jealous maybe I do t know but they all know what I've been through tut xx

Yeah some people are just too wrapped up in themselves. I told a girl in my team yesterday as I'd refused to do a stressful job at work and wanted get to know why. (Baring in mind that we're quite close and I've had two miscarriages this year) and all she said was "oh yeah well I guessed that ages ago" and carried on talking about herself. I dunno why I bothered lol xxx

Ah scan was all fab just naughty baby was doing a headstand with its back facing us so the scanner had a nightmare getting a PIC and couldnt take nuchal fold measurement. So when u see my scan on my other thread and think I have uploaded it upside down I haven't! That's how the baby was. The scanner was trying to get me to do alsorts to get it to move but it just made it get in to an even more akward position! Lol.

Its so suprising how some people react to the news.I can't believe how insensitive your co worker was cherry!

Rachel my little lad was like that at his 20w scan except he faced the sonographer so we have a face on 20w pik lol. I had to go back 2 weeks later for them to check everything they couldn't see in the scan (mainly his heart as they were checking for heart disease) hopefully you get a better pik at your next scan x
