Havnt really been told wgen I get it....do I get it at my 24 week midwife appointment??

I had to ask for mine at around 30 weeks, if she doesn't offer it, then just ask. It takes them about 2 secs to fill out

You should get it after 20 weeks, it needs to be handed to your employer by 25 weeks x x

surely I have to have it by 24 weeks in order to hand it in on time at work to get my mat pay....even tho I only get statatory....she didnt really say when I went to the midwife last week...

Well thats what I thouht if it takes a few eeks to fill out then I wont get it to them on time. Should I call my midwife and ask and does it have to be the midwife that gives it to me??

I got mine from my midwife at 24 week appt. (I tried to get from Dr before then, but they said wait).

i found this online about the Matb1 ''after you reach the 20th week before the week in which your baby is due (the 21st week of pregnancy). It cannot be given to you any sooner. Your midwife will usually give you this at your next ante-natal appointment from the 21st week of your pregnancy'' xx

I got mine at 25 weeks, I had to ask for it as no one mentioned about it at all. Only on this forum I found out that we suppose to get it after 21week. The hospital reception told me that they give it after 28weeks. When I asked midwife about it she was surprised that I haven't got it earlier. In my hospital every time you go for your appointment you see different midwife (not sure could you see the same one if insisted), only consultant is the same.

Check with your employers as my contract said I had to hand my matb1 form before I was 25 weeks or I wouldn't be eligible for maternity pay, luckily I was given mine by the hospital when I went for my 20 week scan, but I would have demanded it from my mw if I'd not had it by 24 weeks as I wasn't risking work getting out of paying me mat leave

I was told to get it at my 20 week scan but the hospital said go to GP, rang GP and they said community midwife... was going round in circles! In the end I rang the community midwife who filled one in and left it at reception for me to pick up. I need to hand it in before 25 weeks so didn't want to wait til 25 week mw appointment to get one.

well my next appointments 24 weeks so if she hasnt sorted it by then then she will feel the wrath of my anger. I dont get maternity pay as such anyway only statatory but I dont wanna give her any reson to be funny about it if she can get away with things she will. Shes a terrible employer. I see my midwife at a childrens centre so dont think its worth asking my hospital I only go there for scans. I may call her at 23 weeks andd just check I will get it. Shes very good so im sure I will....just think we got so ingrossed in talking about the bears heartbeat we forgot to talk about the form
