My little man has had mastitis! he suddenly came up with a lump about 2 weeks ago it was red and sore for a couple of days then as i was thinking about going to the doctor it started to go down and the lump got smaller, but on the friday it had flaired up again, so i managed to get an appointmet for the monday morning - they saw it a said it could be a bite or an infection, so they put him on cephalexin suspension ( love the smell)
so he has been on that all week 3x daily, bless him he has been ace at taking it though sucking away on the syringe!
On the tuesday the lump burst and it was oozing puss, just like a huge spot/boil so i kept bathing it.
he had a check up on friday and se said it could have been a blocked duct so basically he has had mastitis the poor lad!!no wonder he has been abit grumpy!!
He still has a lump but it is getting smaller now.
Glad when he finishes his antibiotics as it does no favours to his nappy
