Someone please give me some suggestions.

My 10 month old (today) is a nightmare with dinner.. and toothbrushing.

We started brushing when he was around 8 weeks old (advice from HV) to get him used to it, things were great, until we hit around 7 months old. He now completely refuses and screams if we try, even to get the bloomin thing near his mouth! he has 5 teeth and another 2 just popped through.

Do I buy a different one so he doesn't recognise it and introduce another way of doing it? ..

& dinner time.. its hit and miss, as soon as he has a couple spoon fulls he gets 'bored' and has a screaming match. until I give him something else to try and hold.. then something else again.. we mix and match baby food with whatever I cook, I tend to offer both see what he fancies as hes pretty fussy. Could anyone tell me how they do dinner with their little ones?

For tooth brushing we sing a song (I found one on a nursery rhyme youtube: babybum, "this is the way we brush our teeth, brush our teeth, brush our teeth...), I also do mine at the same time as I want LO to do it, and let her scrub mine then hers (probably a bit disgusting, but it works!), and got a toothbrush shaped like a rabbit. The things we do!

Sorry, can't help with meals, my LO may not sleep but she's a good eater. It all has to balance out somewhere!

I sing the same song as flisstebbs! Also, the Tombleboos on In The Night Garden make a real fuss about cleaning their teeth properly, so I sometimes play my boy the clip on YouTube.

Can't help with the feeding though, we have a fussy eater here too!

On the teeth brushing you can get a little toothbrush that fits over your finger which might make brushing easier. My little one just clamps down on the brush and won't let go!

On the feeding front, have you considered a bit of baby led weaning? Maybe cook some carrot batons and give them or cucumber sticks to him to hold and try and chew while you get more spoon food in? X

Is he being spoon fed?
Give him a spoon too, this was the only way when I was spoon feeding.

I used to make loads of noises and funny faces anything to make him laugh and open his mouth :)
