I haven't been on here for aaaaaaages but I've started getting so broody. However, we said we would stop at three mostly because I carry huge babies (8lb 6 to 8lb 13), pregnancy massively takes its toll on me physically and emotionally, and I've had three reflux/tongue tie babies.

But. Babiiiiiieeeees. Heeeeeelp!!

Go for it! You'll just regret not having a forth when your old. I want 4 to. The reflux and tongue tie only lasts a little while. Your want for another will never go I don't think it would anyway. X

I am like this with number 3! I worry whether we really should and will it change our little family of four in a negative way but I am desperate for another and that ache won’t go away xx

I am like this about number 2, but my first was 10lb 1oz and I had a c section birth. We also had reflux and tongue tie issues.
I would say if you really want a fourth and can afford it, then go for it!

I'm going for number 4! I read an article that really resonated with me that said when you think about how many children you want to have, think past the first 5 years. it's so easy to get stuck on the most intense challenges of infancy and childhood (for me I get stuck on sleep deprivation. that is the most brutal part for me by far) but it's over so fast. Think of how you want family gatherings to look, how many grown children around the table etc. That seals the deal for me: I want a giant family!

Of course, if those first 5 years will destroy your marriage or ruin you forever then you can't totally disregard them - but just regard them with perspective and the knowledge that you'll blink and they'll be over (sob!).

I'm so torn. We're on one income as I can't work due to a disability diagnosis. I'm hoping that I can get something suitable but we're still unsure if I'm actually going to be able to do it. We would have to get a new car this September as we're squeezed on space already, so it would mean getting a people carrier which of course comes with a higher insurance.

Then we're also in a 2-bed flat with little prospect of moving at the moment, so we would be horribly squeezed in.

Himself is going back to uni to retrain for 12 months in September (hopefully), and we are getting married in October, so we would have to wait until he's graduated from that.

I also have so many things I want to do that I've put off for the last 5 years, and will be another 12 months before I can practically do them because of ebfing, and if I have another then that will be delayed a further time which I'm not sure I want.

I'm so, so, so confused.

You could wait a few years? See how you feel after a year and how your situation is then x

Whew, I probably would not be trying for a fourth in a 2 bed flat, unless you are able to move in the near future.

I'm thinking to wait, or more realistically stick with the three. I've been pregnant for the better part of my 20s and I really want to get my life and my body back. I don't want to have another baby just for the sake of it when I have three wonderful little boys already and should be giving my attention to them.

I don't think I will have a 4th, it would be lovely but just not manageable.

I feel like this as well, although I only have 2 just now. Im so worried that even if I have another the feeling of "not finished having babies" will never go away. Think I would just keep having more and more!!

I get you! I have a 3yr old and 6wk old and I'm worried tgat I might not have that finished feeling! X

I have 2 boys and we decided to try for a third.. found out yesterday it’s twins! So you might be having 4 and 5! It’s always a possibility! X
