Low white blood cell count

Hi, my sisters 11 week old baby was admitted to hospital a few days ago.

After doing some tests it has come back showing she has a low white blood cell count. We lost our dad to Leukaemia so understandably my sis is thinking the worst.

I did some 'googling' last night and a few things came up, mainly viruses, infections and neutropenia

Anyone else experienced this or have any advice???

Im ringing her later as they say they are doing more tests today. She is being quite sick and has been bringing back up her milk for a few weeks, the midwife got concerned about her weight loss which is when they admitted her to hospital.

Really sorry to hear that

All I'd say is although the Internet can be a wonderful thing it can also give you almost too much information and you end up reading about worst case scenarios and worrying yourself even more.
