So today I am 32+1. I went this morning for a placenta scan after being told my placenta is low. Although it has come up slightly on one side,it is still low on the other and therefore need to be rescanned at 36 weeks. Whilst doing the scan, they found I had low levels of amniotic fluid-it says 24mm in my notes.
They wired me up to a fetal heartbeat monitor for half an hour- baby's heart and movement s were fine but they advised to have a steroid injection to help fast track the development of baby's lungs-just in case. I have to go back tomorrow for the second steroid injection (Ouch) and then every other day for monitoring of the heartbeat- then scan for fluid next week and growth scan the week after. I've just been told to rest more and drink fluids but I'm a bit concerned on the impact of things. The doc said to alert them if there was a change in the pattern of baby's movements- except I haven't really noticed a real pattern so i'm a bit worried I'll miss something important!
Any advice or anyone been through anything similar?
