Hi ladies,
Was feeling a bit dizzy this morning, have a bp cuff at home - tested and it was 107/54 which is apparantly low.
I checked my notes and at m/w check ups it's always been around 115/70 - lowest recorded was at my last check up just under a week ago at 110/60. She never said anything.
Just had some breakfast and drank a whole bottle of wAter (thought maybe a bit dehydrated due to heat) just tested again and it's dropped to 107/50
On the little scale thingy that's the upper end of hypotension
I'm actually feeling a little better than when I first woke up and about to go to work - Should I be concerned? Anyone else have low bp ...

Xxx

Hi, my best friend was suffering with low bp when pregnant and nearly fainted a few times, other times she would feel week an d light headed. Best to tell your midwife about it, it can get sorted easly x

Hey Summer - I have low BP normally, but not usually in pregnancy however this time I have had. My BP was 97/...? I can't remember the bottom figure, but was low. MW did not seem at all concerned and just told me to drink plenty and rest when I felt tiered.

So long as you do not feel sick or dizzy then chances are it is all OK and you just need to keep ultra hydrated and move about as much as you can. If you start to get headache, feel dizzy or sick then call MW :) xx

I have normally low pressure and in all my pregnancies I've had anemia and found it dropped quite abit lower towards the end as my blood levels dropped wen more.. Have you had bloods done at your 28week appt? That would rule out anemia. Other wise maybe it's the heat and needing to drink more etc. Would definitely mention it though x

Thanks ladies - I had my blood taken last week, I've got to ring for results tomorrow. I'm feeling tired but not dizzy anymore - just got home from work and taken my bp again and it's back up to 112/60 so think I must have just got a bit dehydrated over night. I'll be sure to drink lots of water before bed tonight (even if it does mean pee-ing every half hour ... As opposed to every hour )
Xxx

Yeah my blood pressure is normally lower so when preg it's low.

I felt sick because of it yesterday abd had had a bigger ploughman's style lunch at home with hubby as we had bits to use up - so today am trying little and often food to see if thats more the key

Hope your ok xx

I have low BP, 80/52 sometimes a little higher. Has stayed low during pregnancy but has risen a little more recently (37+3) the doctor said to eat a bag of salty crips a day, keep hydrated (but you need to keep your salts up) as drinking loads of water which I do flushes them out! Hope that helps x
