Hi ladies

I'm trying not to let this dishearten me but I'm getting impatient and I want to meet my princess soon!

So I had a sweep last Wednesday and the doctor was really positive and said the cervix was soft and 2 cm so it would be a few days! Iv lost loads of mucus plug and alot of painful BH but I'm still waiting for the baby to come!

I had sweep number 2 today and the cervix has not changed and its still 2cm, soft and stretchy but the midwife said it is still thick! I felt like crying when she said it was still 2cm!

Same thing happened to me last pregnancy hun, after 2 sweeps I was still stuck at 1-2cm for days and days. Really felt upset about it so I know how you are feeling. I ended up being 10 days over in the end.

Honestly though I am going to tell you what I tell everyone else - get down on your hands and knees and scrub the floors etc - this was the thing that finally put me into labour lol.

Hope it happens for you soon hun xxx

Hi charlie im kinda in same boat im 40+8 had a sweep on friday 4cm dilated bishops score of 8 thought id have something over w.end but nothing unusual, just same stuff iv had last 2 weeks like cramp bh lots of discharge and show....have u got a date for induction or any more sweeps? Im booked for induction on Fri but because its only Mon it seems like forever away.

Annoying with the cramps and bh as i keep thinking it is starting then go huffy when they end! Shes so low down i can hardly move can feel her between my legs no way im cleaning floors thank god hubby didnt see that post lol its worse enough picking kids mess and toys off the floor

:)

Haha yeah you can tell how desperate I was for baby to be out when I did that. It was on the advice of my MIL who said it was only thing that worked for her when waiting for my partner to be born lol. Was a struggle but boy did it do the trick plus we had a nice clean kitchen floor after ;) x

I did literally everything... bouncing, walking, curries, sweeps, pineapple, sex, semen, more sex, more bouncing, working, cleaning, painted the house....

I was 13 days over. I honestly think Jackson was clinging to the walls in there!

xxx

I have the 2nd of July for my induction date.

Today I have scrubbed the floor in the kitchen and dining room but walking is really hard as I have SPD and with her being soo low it's really hurting. I had a little walk whilst I picked the children up from school. We also tried sex and bouncing on the ball! I can't eat curry as spice sets off my IBS! I think she is just too comfy.

For those who have ever lost their mucus plug.... How disgusting is it! it's making me feel sick!

Hope it all starts happening for you soon ~ just take it as easy as you can xx

Thank you! I am enjoying the peace and quiet while it lasts but its about time this little madame comes out to meet me!

i'd rather be over due and not clean the floor lol

funnily enough my 3 yo spilt diluting juice on our cream carpet last night and i was on hands and knees scrubbing that before hubby seen it xxx

Sweep number 2 is proving to be unsuccessful!! Although I did think my waters broke this morning. Well a trickle that is! I noticed that my underwear was a little wet so I went for a wee then stood up and a few drops of water came out! It was a brown colour rather than a yellow (urine). I rang the hospital asap and they said put a pad on and monitor it. They said it might be brown due to all the bloody show I have had! Not alot more has come on to the pad so I am thinking it's just watery discharge!

Just keep a close eye on that charlie i had sweep no.2 as well ive been getting bits of show but its pinky colour. Xx

She has 9 days ema! I will be so angry if I have to be induced as I turned it down last week as the doctor was so confident it was a matter of days!

Good luck! my previous 2 babies hung on in there! I know how you are feeling!!
