had sweep and 2cm dilated!

At 1pm today I lost a small amount of my plug which was exciting enough. Had appointment this afternoon for a sweep and stretch. Not very pleasant but so excited when she said cervix was soft and I was already 2cm dilated!
Midwife said cos of cervix and show she was very hopeful that things would start very very soon!

Have had some period type pain (but that is probably from what midwife did) and now I've started to get some tightening but not regular and only lasting 20 seconds.

I know I could still have days to go but am so excited!

This was me on Thursday and I'm still here and still only 2/3cms same as Thursday.
Hope things progress better for you then they have done for me

oh poor you Zoe. I'm sure this could take ages but at least we're both getting somewhere! On one born every minute some women are screaming the hospital down and are only 1cm dilated! At least we've got that far......just hope the next 8cm are as pain free haha!!!
