Just had a sweep

Well just saw consultant and due to having polycystic kidneys and low fluid she gave me a sweep. Have to say was painful but my cervix is soft and I'm 2cm dilated x

Yeah they made sure cervix was soft enough to do it. Then she felt for my cervix, walked it to the front and then used two fingers and moved them around the baby's head stretching the cervix. I won't lie it is uncomfortable a bit like the first day of ur period, but as soon as it is over it's not so painful. I feel a bit bruised inside and bleeding a bit but it's ok. So yes all they use is fingers x
