Hey ladies!
I'm getting very worried about my 6 week old baby girl. From the get go she has been pretty good at getting some good hours of sleep in during the night (about 8-9 hours with 2-3 feedings in between), but during the day/night she's basically awake all day and evening.
She'll wake up for real around 1pm, diaper change, eat and play for about 1,5-2 hours - and so it begins. ill try and nurse her to sleep - she'll fall asleep, but if I even breathe too heavy she'll wake, so putting her down to sleep is out of the question.
Husband will try to walk around with her with her pacifier - usually she'll scream but fall asleep for about 1 hour - again, if he tries to put her down she'll scream bloody murder. Sometimes I wear her around the house doing chores and she'll sleep for an hour or so but if I stop, pick up something or walk too slow she'll awaken. Naps during the day are basically nonexistent leaving us with a very overtired baby who basically screams all day...
I'll try and put her down for the night around 7pm after giving her a bath, a massage and nursing. She'll fall asleep nursing, wake up, scream, burp, nurse ... You get it - and I cannot get her to fall asleep for the night until about 2-3am at night.
The doctor mentioned reflux and we've followed all of her advice (except feeding her rice cereal!) to no avail. What is going on ?!? What am I doing wrong? I seriously cannot keep doing this anymore.

Thank you for reading and I hope to get some help - I'm deeply desperate.

Your not doing anything wrong sounds like your doing a fab job. Maybe your baby could have a touch of colic?
Have you tried putting her in a cot in the dark? Maybe she needs peace and darkness to fall asleep? You can get womb sound apps on your phone you could try to play for her to see if that helps?
I know this isn't great advice but I'm thinking of anything I can for you. Xxx

How are you feeding her breast or bottle? Maybe try a different bottle for her in case she is getting too much air which is causing stomach pains? And try her on some anti colic milk? She could have an allergy to dairy which would cause pain and discomfort so another trip to the doctors could be helpful. There are dairy free milks out there my friends son had a milk allergy and screamed for the first 8 months of his life before it was figured out xx

Have they suggested medication for the reflux? Sounds like my baby girl and she has silent reflux! Xx

I breast feed to sleep and yes it's nice but I have to be very careful putting her down. My baby is almost 10months and still does not like napping in the day. Recently we have been feeding her in her room mid morning and afternoon and feed her. Then when she is asleep we put her in her cot. It only lasts about 20 mins but we are trying to get some routine going. It's really importantto try and get them to nap but it is difficult. Moat of the time my ba y will sleep if I hold her after she has fed to sleep.
