Hi Tri 2 Ladies!

I am only 7 weeks gone so a little naughty jumping onto the Tri 2 board

I am really really struggling with nausea at the moment (have been really bad since 3w!) so I guess I am just wanting to ask if morning sickness really does die down in T2 and if so what week did you start to feel better?

Thanks in advance <3

it completely varies I'm afraid! From person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. My first pregnancy no nausea at all. My second REALLY sick from 4 weeks to 16 weeks. This one pretty sick from 6-13 weeks. USUALLY sickness is better by 16 weeks but not always

Mine eased off around 14 weeks, I have only been sick twice since and I'm currently 26 weeks. For most of us it does go, thankfully, even though it feels like it will last forever. I felt really down during the first trimester and started to wonder if I was going to feel so ill forever and if it was all really worth it. It makes it worse when its the hardest time but you cant really tell anyone yet so you try to live life as normal which just makes it worse. I found it really hard to cope especially as my migraines became constant as well (peppermint and classic coke helped me a lot as well as eating very regular), thankfully my hubby helped me through it and I feel fantastic now compared to then, almost like my normal self.
It should pass before you know it, congrats on your pregnancy!! :)

Every one is different I felt very nauseous and was sick so much in the first tri and I thought it would go by time I reached 14 weeks - not for me I'm 21 weeks and still sick but just once or twice a day now and I only feel nauseous when I'm hungry so it has calmed down a lot I found eating sandwiches or toast easier to eat when I was at my worst rather than warm cooked meals it's a good sign that you have strong symptoms I hope you feel better soon xx

My nausea started at 7 weeks and has completely gone a few days ago ., I'm 14 weeks. I had it really bad in the evenings..

Just make sure your snacking regularly.. with me when I Stayed with no food the nausea would appear ..

X

First off, congratulations on you pregnancy :)

Second, it differs from person to person as others have said. With my first pregnancy I was nauseous from 10 weeks to 24 weeks. This time I was nauseous from 6 weeks through to about 18 weeks and now I’m feeling a bit more like myself again :)

I have had friends and family members though who were nauseous and sick right through even in labour. The trick is find something that eases it. With DS it was orange ice lollies for me (ginger did nothing!) and this time it’s been plain crisps. Keep trying different things until you find something that works for you. If you can’t find anything there are anti sickness drugs that are suitable in pregnancy so just pop along to your GP and let them know you’re struggling.

Hope you start to feel better soon!!

Thank you everyone!

I am definitely finding snaking is helping a lot. As is not moving around too much. Just need to suck it up and hope it doesn’t linger on too long x

with all three of mine it faded around 13/14 weeks but even now at 20 weeks if i have an empty stomach I will feel very sick
