Lilly and Her Food!!

Seems like only yesterday that my babby was a tiny newborn and now she's a big girl starting on solids!!

We are doing BLW and so far she takes anything you hand her and stuffs it into her mouth. She will try anything and hasn't turned her nose up at anything yet. Here is a small selection of the foods that she has had (may serve as ideas for others):

Fish fingers
Chips
Raw red peppers
Scrambled eggs
Toast (plain/marmalade/jam/peanut butter)
Bread and butter
Satsumas
Pears
Apples
Raw green beans
Chicken
Beef

Just after we started giving her solids, her first tooth popped through too! All of this just after she started crawling! Seems that she has just had a huge development spurt, lol! She's a hungry, bitey, crawly nightmare!!

A question for other parents here... what do you do about your LO being in a high chair when they are too small? I've tried putting padding all around her but she looks really uncomfortable I've started feeding her on my lap instead but using one of those bibs that catches food (sooo much easier!!) but I do wish she'd fit in her high chair, heh.

Wow she's doing so well. Am doing TW at the moment with G and he seems to be enjoying it. He's not crawling though, not even rolling yet.

Have you got a bumbo with a tray that you could use instead of a high chair? I got one off gumtree for a tenner cos Lizzie is a teeny girl and won't be in a highchair for a while

I mainly feed Tegan in her Bumbo as she's still so mini! how old is she now? did u say she's crawlin already?! xx

Oooo what's a bumbo? Silly question, i'm on the internet, i can look it up! As for crwling, whenever i'm worried that Lilly isn't doing something fast enough, I always remember a Michael Macintyre (SP?) joke on one of his standups that was talking about his son not learning to walk and how you dont get 32 year olds meeting some friends for a meal and shuffling into the room on their bum saying "sorry, never learned to walk you see...." Always puts my mind at rest, heh, and makes me giggle too lilly's 6 months old yesterday and she started crawling about 2 weeks ago.... nightmare! She's in to everything!! I put her on the floor with a load of her toys around her and she heads straight for the extension cord...... :S

I'm doing TW with Isla but am looking forward to a bit of BLW when she hits 6 months. Isla's also tiny and won't be in her highchair for a while. I feed her in her bouncer or the Bumbo.

My little man is 6 months in 4 days we are TW primarily but with BLW thrown in to the day as well now we're almost 6 months
