Just had my 32wk appointment and all great except for the presence of 'Leukocytes' in my urine sample. Midwife said she was not worried as there was nothing else present (I.e protein or nitrates etc). However Google tells me it's a sign of a UTI - I've been drinking loads of water and have no symptoms - just wondered if anyone else has had this show up?
I've not got another midwife appointment for 3 weeks

Could be discharge in your urine hun, very common xx

That's odd... Last week I had this (they didn't say anything else was present) and I was given antibiotics. Are you having any symptoms of a uti? X

No, I've not got any symptoms - other than going VERY frequently but thought that's just normal in pregnancy. Just a bit concerned that if it is an early sign of a uti I'd rather be glad it was caught early and get it sorted before it actually causes symptoms. Wouldn't mind so much if she said bring back another sample in a week to check - but 3 weeks ... ?

If you're concerned maybe make an appt with a nurse or gp in a few days to get retested? Maybe a second opinion? Always better to be safe when pregnant! X

I had them in my urine last week, was sent off and no UTI, just drops of discharge got into the sample xx

I had them consistently during previous pg and it was cus I had thrush, meaning my discharge was getting into the sample. I've had it come up twice in this pg, again due to thrush. I don't think it's anything to worry about :)

Thank you Lulu - hopefully I'm the same as you and just discharge contamination - but it's good they sent yours off to check. I'm getting a bit annoyed with how blasé my midwife is - she's made several errors throughout my pregnancy  like you say ml600 - better to be safe than sorry. Think I'll book an appointment with GP to double check.
Thanks ladies xxx
