My LO is becoming a nightmare getting dressed and undressed he won't keep still wriggling and crying' it's such an ordeal! He's not great a nappy tines either! But other than this he's a really happy laid back babs! Any tips for making it any less traumatic and are other babies the same? Thanks xx

play peek a boo but when amelia is being grumpy i just do it as fst as i can to get it over and done with she seems better then x

Yeah I've tried peekaboo and tickling and that's not working now either! Think you're right it's a case of grin and bare it and get it done ASAP x

As soon as charley's on his back he starts flinging himself about! He hates nappy changes and will fight me when I'm trying to put his trousers on. I try to pin him down and do it a fast as poss and I've learnt how to change his bum when he's rolled over and is trying to crawl off!

i also tr and get as many clothes on with amelia sat up she seems to prefer this x

Same here! I sit Drake up when i'm dressing him but he's now trying to slide off my lap! I try and distract him with singing, stamping my foot on the floor (he seems to like this!) getting the dog to go all loopy and try and go like the clappers! lol

after dressing or changing my lo i usually end up all hot and bothered!!! i usually give him a pack of wipes to play with and i have now changed to pull ups which makes it a bit easier asi can change him while he is in piedi...except for when hes pood! lol. no advice really hopefully they will learn to just let us dress and change them without fuss!!!

I do what Amy_J does and let Oz play with a pack of wipes, but he's still not completely happy. He usually scream bloody murder these days while he's being changed. Sometimes playing peekaboo works, but not always. I just try and get it done as quick as possible lol

xxxxx

Hate to say it but t doesn't get any easier lol! C's been fighting me for months, and nothing distracts him any more, not even the nappy on the head trick. Peepo will sometimes do the trick, but if he's not in the mood, I just have to go as fast as I can and hope he doesn't get too upset. It's all anger rather than upset anyway, as soon as he's up and dressed he's fine again!

Oh blimey ladies, I have the reverses, Devon is a hormonal thing! He is either stupidly happy and laughing madley or really, stroppy, but always cheers up when I start stripping clothes off or remove the trousers on a change mat, quite happy then, always good when dinner is too hot and needs colling down time etc or stalling for the bath running etc

Funny old things babies !

amelia like to be naked but its jus getting there and then re dressed lo x

Thanks all! Jj mum u lucky thing! Inky it's awful, I agree it is more anger than upset!! And yes he is a lot netter sitting and dressing! Sleepsuits are a nightmare, I love them because they are "baby" if u know what I mean! But ive got him dome pjs and they much easier to get on!! Good luck ladies! Xx

Sophia's really odd, I can struggle for ages getting a top over her head and face, which you'd think would be pretty traumatic, but she doesn't mind at all. Putting hands in the sleeves though., scream scream scream!! Crazy baby!

I've heard putting an (unbreakable) mirror next to the changing mat is good. I haven't done that yet, but Sophia loves looking at herself every chance she gets!
