I'm feeling soooo rubbish, and have just found 2 packs of cold and flu tablets. One says don't take when pregnant, but the lemsip doesn't say not to.., what do you think?

Oh, plus, I'm desperatley running out of tissues, which is another reason to stop the nose!!

I honestly don't know hun....but with any Medication it's always best to check with your Midwife or GP.

they say dont have anything in the first 12 weeks

but in later pregnancy i think its ok, but double check with your mw x x

lemsip a big no no as the decongestents on them sorry hun I really wanted some when I got ill about 12- 20 weeks but just had to give in to baths and hot steam alone x

The lemsip drinks are definately ok during pregnancy.. but i think the cold and flu tablets have ibruprofen in them which is why it says dont take when pregnant..

that said i took them (was after 12 weeks though) cause I was dying of a cold lol

Yeah, decided not to, thanks. I've got some warm Ribena instead...! I managed to get some sleep which meant a little rest for my nose!!

oooh i almost have one and my midwife told me off!! deffo not allowed them - they have ephedrine which is very bad for baby! x

I asked midwife a few weeks ago and she said it was fine to have plain lemsip. Everything is fine here but I would defo ask your own midwife. Seems we get told very conflicting advice!

i was told no bout lemsip BUT made a wee home made version - boiling water, lemon juice or slice of lemon teaspoon of homey and 2 sugars.... u need the sugars i dont know why but i was told u do?? lol weve NEVER bought lemsip since its lush and soooo easy to drink and works a treat xx
