Hi all. Just after a little advice really.

My Ds is 16 weeks and weighs just over 13lbs. He is formula fed and is now currently taking between 35/40 ozs a day. Every night and morning without fail his nappy is so full and has leaked out the side up his back. He's soaked bless him. He was sleeping through the night but now wakes midway through, I guess because he's wet and uncomfortable but I've tried to settle him without a feed and even offered water instead but as he's awake he's ravenous for a bottle. I'm sure if he wasn't wet he would still be sleeping, who knows. Anyway We only have a tesco near us and have tried own brand, huggies and pampers baby dry in size 3 as the weight range is up to 20lbs which he is nowhere near. Friends have said usually if they are leaking to go up a size but surely they are going to be massive for him?! Was just hoping some other mummy's of babys that wee ALOT had any ideas. Maybe it's just me putting them on wrong as it sometimes happens in the day after only 3/4 hours and the pampers says can go 12 hours which is what he was sleeping before but now his milk intake has gone up no nappies seem to cope with all his weeing!!

Thanks in advance ladies 😃😃

My LO is 11 months and in size 6 nappies for this exact reason.! When he starts leaking I buy a small pack of size up and start just using them at night and gradually move on to using them in the day. I've never gone by the weight guide. We use pampers baby dry :) I would go up a size and see x

Try 3+ my LB is 21 months and he's in size 6+, 6 constantly leaks.. If that's going to be too small, I'll be screwed! 4 Might be a bit too much of a big step.

Depending where he's wet but sometimes putting the nappy on back to front helps more. I work in care so a pro at nappy changes all sizes / shapes and my LO sleeps very well soI have changed him before I've gone to bed before. He doesn't wake and means he is a bit drier xx

Great advice from other ladies. Riley is a big wee-er and the only nappies that hold in everything overnight is Aldi nappies! We've never had a leak from them but have had leaks with almost every other brand.

Thank you everyone. Gone up to 3+ which is an improvement. Going to google my nearest Aldi and try them too. Thanks again.

My lb wears size 3 in the day (although they are getting small now so won't buy anymore). At night he is in 4+. Size 4 didn't work so had to go up more. Made such a difference to his sleeping longer at night.

Might sound silly but have you tried him in the next size vest? I found this solved my problem as the vest seemed to hold the nappy too close to the skin, bigger vests gave the nappy more room to expand so it absorbed more
