is it really THAT bad? Really wanna do it, but soo scared! lol
xx

go for it! I was in 2 minds but as i got closer to my due date i thought "I'm gonna go for it!" "how painful can it be - i'm havin a baby in a couple of weeks!!!"

So at 37 weeks off i went (never normally have waxing) and yes it hurt for the second or 2 when they rip the wax strip off but it is all over and done with really quick and well worth the results! Would recomend tea tree cream for a few days afterwards to help th eskin settle back down and go to the best salon in town with a qualified therapist! Some salon syou can even get 2 therapists at once so it's over with quicker!!! good luck!

Something definitely needs doing down there and i cant see a thing, and normally find i have a reaction to all hair removal creams so think this is a last resort

That comment has made me feel a lot better about it, thank you!

xx

you're welcome... just go for it.. i'm normally a right wuss when it comes to things like that - i don't know what came over me... you sort of feel proud of yourself for going and making yourself have it done too!!!

Normally i worry about having my eyebrows waxed but i had them done straight after the bikini wax and they seemed a doddle!!!

it's great afterwards knowing it's all neat and tidy! good luck x x x

I've never been waxed , but I reckon near my due date I will as well as its getting tricky to keep tidy already, and i didnt have a good tidy up when Aoibheann was born was WAAAAAY embarassed x

the more you do it the less it hurts, a friend of mine falls asleep during waxing (not sure I would go that far!!)
xxxx

The results are fab but it isn't exactly a relaxing thing  I'm still quite traumatized over mine, she made me take my bloody knickers off  needless to say I didn't go back to that salon! Go for it x

Been brave and booked it for tomorrow morning! Now just to actually make it there and get it done!

Once you're there its fine hun, take 2 painkillers before you go, and there's also a numbing cream you can buy x

Lol ur thinking same as me I put a post in preg chat about waxing yest!! I'm gunna go for it and I'm hoping to do it at 37 weeks ready for hospital! Can't bloody see a thing down there and at least waxing will last longer than creAm and shaving :) I am a bit traumatised about going to get it done but if a baby is gunna hurt I think waxing is the least of by worries lol xx

Yeah thats pretty much my thoughts! Do it tomorrow, and it will last till after! Thinking of it as kind of a..warm up..to the pain of labour! lol

I am literally just back from having my bikini line and eyebrows done - I absolutely HATE getting it done but it is def worth it.

I should add that in one of the leaflets I got from consultant they ask that you do not get your bikini line done any closer than 6 weeks before your due date - just incase you have to have a section. This is to avoid increasing your chances of infection.

In saying that I know loads of people who have had it done much closer to their due date than 6 weeks and had no bother at all.

I am only getting to stage now where I have lost my feet and my bits! I was embarrassed today but the girl in the salon is a right laugh and paid absolutely no heed to the state that I was in!

I done it! Just got back from my first ever waxing and omg...it was sooo much less painful than I thought it was gunna be! Only hurt literally for the second she ripped the strips off, then was fine, and the woman was so lovely! Would definitely do it again!

xx

Glad it went well hun, it really is just the initial "rip" It should be easier from here on in xx

Yeah, I had a bit of a funny turn when I was there which didn't help but the woman was so lovely about it!

Found one leg to be a LOT more sensitive than the other though!

xx
