Ladies that have had more than 3 M/c's and are now preggers - I need your help !!!!

Got my BFP this morning (4th since May 2011)

I am of course over the moon but also terrified.

I have my results form recurrent miscarriage clinic tomorrow, but specialist has already said there is a 70% chance all the diagnostic tests I had will not show anything?

Ladies that have had several losses before and have gone on to have a successful pregnancy what did your Dr / specialist do for you??

If our results do not show anything then what should we be asking for?

i have a friend that has had 3 mc they have told her to take asprim think its bby asprin not sure how much but she is preggers again taking asprin and has had a slight bleed but bby is s sticky one and she is 10 weeks now hoping u have a sticky bean this time lovely xxx

Hey hun! congrats on your BFP!

I have had 2 mc and had the recurrent mc testing, which came back all clear

This 3rd pregnancy my consultant put me on 75mg asprin daily and 25mg/ml clexane injection daily (anticoagulant) started the asprin from BFP and clexane when a heartbeat was detected on ultrasound. im now 37 weeks so seems to have done the trick

I've had 4 bleeds in the first 3 months, but haven't had any since I stopped taking the aspirin at 12 weeks (dr said I could stop past 1st trimester and all has been well since - touch wood!).

hey carnat, i know you have commented on ym other thread, but just wanted to say after losing 3 babies, mmc, ectopic and mc, i had tests which all came back showing no problems. i got put on 75mg aspirin daily, 400mg cyclogest (vaginally) twice daily and 5mg (rather than standard 400microg) folic acid.
just remember, if your results come back clear, there is no reason you will lose this bean!

Every single test came back as normal - Dr advised against baby asprin and said I didn't need any additional progesterone as all my hormone levels are perfect.

He did perscribe the high dose FA and i'll need to get another 2 months worth from GP.

I am a week in and so far nothing bad?? (I have always bled within 6 days of a BFP so this is my first good sign!)

Hi and congrats! I remember your user name from when I was in the early stages. So glad you have a positive.

I had 5 miscarriages - last karyotyping showed turners syndrome - i had genetic testing and was clear - it was one of those things apparently.

I had clexane 20mg and cyclogest pessaries and 75mg aspirin in previous unsuccessful pregnancies - this time around i was put on 40mg clexane, 1200 cyclogest daily (3 doses of 400mg) till week 20 and the aspirin i doubled to 150mg when i found out i was pregnant - this was because i had read some research and this seemd to be a key in success.

Im convinced thats its the higher dose of aspirin that has enabled me to get to almost 5 weeks where I am now.

i also was signed off work at 8 weeks to reduce stress, however i have had a very stressful pregnancy due to other reasons so do not think this made a difference.

Glad you don't have to take the pessaries they're not nice, or aspirin, I really hope this bean is sticky for you

i asked my doctor what the aspirin does and why i am taking it they told me its to open up the blood flow in placenta to aid minerals and stuff to get to baby better x

hope all goes well i was almost on the higher folic acid too x

All my bloos tests including clotting came back normal, but my consultant just said she had sucess with previous patients taking asprin and clexane together so i was more than happy to give it a go!

I PM'd you earlier, so just posting a bit of the information on here, in case it helps any other ladies.

They found no reason why I kept on having miscarriages (all natural), as I already had a healthy daughter. When I found out I was expecting this time, I took Pregnacare and extra folic acid. I didn't take anything for granted until I was 24 weeks, when I knew bubs would be viable if he was born then.

Luckliy I made it to 39 weeks and I am now one very proud and happy mummy!!!!!
