Well he's here
9 days early!! Born on 27th September 3.54am weighing in at 8lb 1oz.
He is absolutely gorgeous and we adore him but the journey wasn't easy!
Waited 2 and a half years to conceive him, got my bfp, bled at 8.5 weeks and 9.5 weeks, but thankfully that little bean wanted to be here in this world. Pregnancy was going lovely and textbook until around 32 weeks where I got a chest infection, then windpipe infection and then at 36 weeks was admitted to hospital with suspected kidney stones or kidney infection. Came away from that and at 38+2 contractions began every 10 mins but stopped after 5 hours.
Then at 38+4 the contractions were like boom straight in at 3-5 quickly progressing to 2-3 mins. Went up to hospital at 4pm and was 1-2 cm dilated, they kept me in because my blood pressure was high. Contractions remained constant at every 2 mins for the following 12 hours by which time I was 9.5 cm dilated all done on gas and air and one tiny shot of pethadine!
But then..... It was found I had a lip on the cervix that wouldn't go back to allow his head to come out she was trying to hold it while I pushed for around an hour but it was no good, kaiden's heart rate was increasing and he was getting distressed and so was I.
I was then rushed for an emergency section after all that hard painful work- gutted!!!!
When they opened me up they found I had an infection in my womb and the fluid around him was infected too- I bled quite a lot more than they expected, he had also pooed inside me- but I heard that cry and me and hubby began to cry too.
They took him straight away and it felt like a life time but he was fine and I fell in love with him straight away. To see my husband go and cut his cord and feed him melted my heart. And then they came and sat with me while they put me back together - which they told me was harder than normal and struggled to put my womb back together!
But we were now a family and I didn't care about me- just that gorgeous little face peeking out of that towel.
We were both put on iv antibiotics and stayed in recovery for a little while.
I spent the next day just staring at him and feeling so much love for my new little family.
It's the best feeling in the world.
Sorry for the essay and well donee if you got to the end of it. I love him
So much
