Just venting!

On wednesday afternoon, I got this most almighty stabbing pain just below my belly button which came for a second, then went again for anywhere between 6 and 10. Then after half hour it went away again. 7 o clock came and the pain came back with avengance!

After a couple of hours, it still hadnt gone away and it was excruciating, I couldnt move the pain was so bad.

By 9.30, OH insisted we go to A & E, who sent me over to the labour ward. 11 o clock came and after the midwife using a broken doppler and scaring the hell out of me, then the doctor giving me a rather uncomfortable inspection, they sent me home and told me to rest and take paracetamol.

By friday, I still had the pain and paracetamol wasnt doing a damn thing, BUT I also woke up with a crippling pain running from underneath bump on right, up my tummy and round to my back whenever I moved. I couldnt even put my trousers on without being in pain.

Last night I decided enough was enough and that I would go see my GP this morning.

After waiting half an hour to be seen (why they make appointments I dont know!!!), I finally got in there, to be poked and prodded and told that she didnt know what was wrong, I needed to go up to the hospital and see the daycare unit there. She tried to phone them, with no luck and she's now written me a letter to take up there with me.

Problem is, Im due for my 20 week scan today at 1.40 and I cant get there until OH finishes work and comes to get me for that. When I told her this, she got rather arsey with me! Like its my fault that I cant walk 3 miles to get there and am in too much pain to walk a mile in to town to get a bus! As it is, I ended up in tears on my 5 minute walk home from the docs because the pain was so bad. No way can I manage to walk to town as well

Anyway, Ive got this letter and OH is going to come and get me when he finishes work, we'll go for scan and then go to the daycare unit.

Im just so exhausted, the pain has kept me awake since wednesday night and ive only dozed since then; plus its roasting

Sorry ladies, bit of a moan there. Just venting really!

Sounds like you've had hell I can't think what your pain might be apart from ligament pain?
Can't believe the hospital are so crap at reassuring you! Fingers crossed they can see what's wrong later. Good luck with your scan too hun.

Aw babe x x big hugs x x I have severe ligament pain that sounds like the 'all round' pain you've described so I completely understand how you couldn't walk anywhere! I hope that's 'all' it is and baby is alright x x I hate gp's! I got yelled at by my gp for not managing to walk 5miles to the surgery because I struggle to walk due to a back complaint that I'd been to see him about! They're such gits!! Big big big big hugs x x

Had my scan....A....MAZING!!!! Although I get to go back on wednesday so they can measure bubbas heart!

The hospital were about to send me off without any help at all. They tried telling me to just try and sleep in a different position (like I havent already tried). Then changed their mind and got the registrar to take a look at me, who said its likely to be ligaments and has given me some codene.

Im pleased to say, its helping already!!
