Just found out im 5 weeks pregnant

I got it confirmed by my GP on wednesday that im around 5 weeks pregnant. Im 20 and still a student bt have worked out by the time the baby arrives college will be finished and it will be well into my summer holidays.
Im very scared about the pregnancy but really excited at the same time.
I had an accident a few years ago which led to me having my spleen removed so the GP wants me to go for an appointment with the midwife and an early scan. My question is, how long will it take to get an appointment if ive been referred on as "urgent"?
I don't mind the wait but im just one of these people who just like to know.
Any advice would be appreciated,

When I had urgent scans I had them around 6-7 weeks so you really should hear any day now, normally the Early Pregnancy Unit in your hospital rings you/sends you an appointment

Hey Katie

I was referred as urgent and my scan was arranged for 8 weeks. I think this is so they will def be able to see heartbeat etc (I have crohns disease). Youll prob get a letter really quickly. I ALWAYS minded the wait tho Im just really impatient its just too exciting

With my first they didn't scan me until I was 8 weeks (no idea why they did it later), but this time I had a call from the early pregnancy unit a couple of days after my referral and they booked me in for a scan at around 6 weeks (as there's a good chance a heartbeat will be seen then)

Hi, congratulations and welcome I was given a scan at 5 + 6 for abdom pains, I would say somewhere around the 6 week mark x
