I've only recently moved to my village so registered with a new GP. Asked about the midwife last week and was told I had to see Dr first for him to refer me.

Gets there and goes in room and said I'd like you to refer me to the midwife please.

His response - Why?


Duh coz I'm pregnant


Ooooh yes yes, ok with a look of surprise on his face


Why else would you ask to be referred??

when i found out i went in an got my results and all he said was

yes you are see the midwife! i nearly fell on the floor

He asked me if I had other children, yes a girl of 13. He then said who was your consultant. Like I'm going to know that!! He seemed surprised I couldnt remember
