My DH and I went to our last class, last night, and this one was not run by MW (the others were), but by the Health Visitor explaining their role after the baby is born etc, I didn't realise you got so much support and help afterwards, it's great to know that after the MW has discharged you, you are not on your own!
We saw a really good video (not a birth one - lol) hosted by Lowri Turner and it went into the first day, week, month of being with your baby and what to expect and handy hints etc, I hope you girls get this in your class as it was good. I know all areas are different and you can get different advice/classes available to you, but I would say it's worth attending all classes if you can as the NHS ones are free and the NCT ones you have to pay for and they all cover the same kinda stuff.
