Jax's TTC Diary

   This is why God created chocolate

BUT as you said, the fact that your body is obviously fab at ov-ing will give you a much better chance at IVF.

I know it's not real use to you, but as much as you probably hate your 'rotten tubes' remember they helped give you 2 beautiful daughters so they can't be that bad, even if they can't do the same job now.
Sorry - that's probably no comfort or consolation but hating your body (even the inside bits) won't help - think positive and positive things happen

Thanks MM

Im generally feeling ok about things, quite positive and I know theres absolutely no point in getting angry or upset....its just these odd moments you know? It just wells up inside sometimes, but overall im fine

PMT doesnt help but your right about chocolate and ive already eaten the xmas box of roses

Babe, can I try and twist this around a little (tell me or delete my post if you think I am out of order) but...

I feel that you as a pregnancy moderator really does bring a different angle to this forum. What you are going through is really unfair (you are coping brilliantly though) but girls (and men) on here who are going through a similar experience to you will really be able to relate to you.
You have the experience of having two beautiful daughters and you also are having the experience of this 'hiccup' that has come about.

I am in no way, shape or form dissing the other mods on here, they are all brilliant, but I feel that you can offer that little bit more to people with issues regarding their fertility.

Because of my age (39) this could be the last chance I have of conceiving naturally, so who knows, I may have to go down the IVF route as I would love this little one to have a brother or sister which I never had.
I also know that if I were new to this forum and were seeking advice and support, it would help me hugely knowing that this forum has a mixture of mods on here going through very different pregnancy experiences themselves.

Try to keep positive hun, that's something you have taught me, you will get there in the end.

Big huge (((HUGS)))

Only the 1

You have amazing will power girl!!

We've decided to get a second opinion, as I just cant believe that there's no chance when I KNOW I was pregnant just last year, but it was chemical. That just means it didn't implant but there was fertilisation, there was a BFP for fuck sake!!!!

If I take their word for it and have my tubes removed for IVF, that means that my ONLY chance is IVF. If that doesn't work and they were wrong about my tubes.....god I cant even bare to think about it  We cant afford IVF privately.

I refuse to accept it until I have a second opinion, so I'm looking into a private Bupa consultation which would be around £100. Watch this space!

That's a really good idea

You don't want to have to do anything irreversable before you know for definite.

£100 is nothing - especially if you find out they are wrong

That's a great idea Jax - £100 is not an insurmountable amount of money to find. Keep us posted and I'm rooting for you.

kazlin - I agree about the mods, I think there's a nice mix on here (me included, of course!)

Hi Glitzy

I have just been reading your diary - I just wanted to say DEFINATELY get a second opinion. I am speaking as one with exactly the same problem. I had two completely blocked tubes and was told no chance of conceiving naturally. I then did 5 rounds of IVF and now have my little boy. I then about a year later had an anothe HSG to look at tubes and my right tube had miraculously cleared. I have been pregnant naturally twice since then but very sadly lost both babies.

I am just about to have another HSG to see what the state is at the moment as it will not necessarily stay clear forever. I'm just hoping that I get a good result and don't have to do IVF again.

I don't understand at all why your doctor would say they need to take tubes - I am at Hammersmith Hospital (which is the clinic where Robert Winston very recently retired from) and they have never suggested removing my tubes. I would definately not allow them to do so unless there is a very good reason and it certainly is not necessary to have successful IVF.

Anyway. Good Luck with it all. Vicky

Thanks Vicky, and im so pleased you finally got your little boy

Im not sure why they want to remove my tubes tbh. I wont be able to get a second opinion for a couple of months as we cant afford it right now, but I will definitely be getting one soon!

But there has been a bit of a turn around....but Im not sure whats going on to be honest.

Since the lap we havnt been thinking about getting pregnant and are just having sex for pleasure...though there is a small part of me that wonders if im ovulating

Anyway....im on cycle day 24 or 25 right now....I usually have cycles between 28 and 40 days but usually 32 days.

So yesterday and today...im spotting. No period cramps or anything, just a little spotting when I wipe.

A part of me is feeling a little exited at what it could be, but than a bigger part is thinking dont be so stupid, its impossible....right??

Guess all I can do is see what happens!

GGG - I hope it turns out well for you - I have my fingers crossed. You aren't being stupid at all, its what we all do! Theres always a small part that thinks something different to the rest of you! x
