First appointment at the fertility clinic went really well

I had a blood test for german measles immunity, and a swab for chlamydia - though im pretty sure both will come back ok, and ibe got to make an appointment when AF starts (going by cramps today will probably be tomorrow) to have another blood test for a hormone profile. Not quite sure that means lol. I also have to take in OH's semen analysis report so we picked up a copy from sugery today.

The nurse was lovely, she really took her time explaining things to me and going through our medical history, she suggested reiki for my pmt so yeah I like her a lot

Now I just have to wait for my consultants appointment for the HSG which should be 6-8 weeks.

I feel so much better now knowing its in hand

I'm glad things went well for you! My Ob/gyn clinic is amazing so I know how great a feeling it is when you feel like things are moving forward with capable people who seem to care.

Glad to hear it went well GGG. Im impressed that the nurse suggested reiki, I don't think many medical professionals in the tradional sense believe in alternative therapies. Hopefully this will get you nearer to your BFP

The nurse was great, when I told her I had 2 children she seemed very upset as it meant I wouldnt get any IVF on the nhs, but then when I told her they live with thier father she cheered right up and seemed genuingly happy for me that I would get IVF. She even said she urges most women to write to thier MP's if they cant get IVF due to already having kids and was quite passionate about it

Yay! I do reiki it works wonders for anxiety etc. Perhaps you could get attuned, then you can treat yourself and your family.

Sounds like you've got a good team there

I second the suggestion of a reiki attunement- I went for a reiki 1 attunment a few years ago now and so did my Dad and my Mum got done just last weekend! My OH is too sceptical to let me do it to him and Mel bats my hands away when I approach him with intent but I love giving reiki to myself! I always feel that I can calm myself down and help myself heal and that's a really good way to feel I think!

Thanks all, im bit wary though of these attunemnent classes as I think working with peoples energies is such a big thing to be doing, I would rather see a reiki master and let them do it as I know they have years of experience, then try and do it myself, but im definitly looking into it

Got to back again tomorrow mornign for another bloodtest as AF started today, why couldnt it have started yesteray then it could have all been done at once then lol!

Got my results this morning - Im immune to german measles (or rubella cant remember which one it was now lol) and I dont have chlamydia woohoo!! Also my hormones seem normal.

Just got to wait for appointment for HSG now!

Im going to keep this thread as a diary now I think

Ooooo its all go now isnt then GGG, i think someone else in here has just had her HSG.
How long is it from hsg to getting IVF, depending on your circumstances

ive got an appointment for the 6th august now to see the conultant, im guessing the HSG will follow but not sure how long it will be.

but getting closer to AF being due and no signs as of yet, even my usually horrendous PMT hasnt shown its ugly face yet!!
