Hi Everyone
Sorry I'm just catching up )
Jasmine is here and I am so so so happy
7th January - got admitted 7.30pm as they found fluid in Jasmines tummy and a slight amount between her skull and skin. It looked as though I had passed on a viral infection too her and they were concerned a C Section was booked to take place Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Got woken up at 2.30am and 6.30am to change wards
8th/9th January - spoke to consultant on her day off to consider options as it was so rushed the day before aand agreed to meet on Monday to discuss options. Cannula fitted so they could give me anti-biotics intraveinously to ensure infection has gone.
10th January - spoke to consultant who was not meant to be on duty and discussed inducing verses c section. After talking about risks and things we compromise on an induction with a 24 hour window of opportunity and switch to Section if needed. Given Pessary that night but gut thinks it won't work.
11th January - nothing happening except tightenings more pronounced but no actual contractions at all. Agreed with registrar if nothing happening by the morning Section even if not booked until Friday LFT level gone up to 900. Reg indicated Section could be tomorrow morning which I don't mind as am keen to have Jasmine here now.
12th January - Section agreed consent given pre op done. Went Down to theatres about 11.30 and they put epidural in. Wow my legs feel like they were floating and i don't even realise they started. at 12.10 Jasmine popped out and they held her up to me wow it was so amazing i'm a mum They checked her over and hubby cut the cord and then i was able to have a quick cuddle before she went to SCBU to have more checks as a precaution. Got told off for giggling while they were trying to finish me up lol
I went to recovery and chatted with hubby then went up to he ward. Proud dad went and picked up Jasmine and brought her back to me.
13-th til present - painkillers anti-biotics and not much sleep
15th January - I am now home with my beautiful baby girl and daddy what an amazing week no part ever to be forgotten.
Thank you all so much and will see you in a few days when I have more energy and have more of a routine.
p.s will pop pictures up when i have a mo )
