****** January 2015 mummy's to be ******

I'm spotting again :( just wish it would go away and stay away :(

For God Sake hun. Can you call your gp or epu tomorrow and see if they'll do you some blood tests? You can't live in limbo like this

X

I'll call today, I don't think it's a holiday here. I do have an appointment for next Monday with my lovely gp and on Friday they told me that was the first available with any doctor.
I doubt they'd scan but I'll ask for bloods. I was starting to feel a bit positive :/

They should be able to offer blood tests 48h apart to check Hcg levels are doubling as they should be?

The epu have done this for me before. Give them a call and see what they say.

X

The gp took bloods last time around. I phoned them this morning and they are still saying no appointments until next week. I'm not sure about epu, I'm not sure I'm ready to hear the 'if it is a mc we can't stop it' kind of chat.

Ahh Meg's call epu Hun, hope everything's okay.

I can't not being myself to eat much so when I'm sick not a lot is coming out just bile, it's gross! Brushing my teeth is the worse I'm heaving at the thought of it.

I see the hospital midwife today at 2 :)

On 3 night shifts now and I'm absolutely dreading them!

Hope everyone's okay xx

No harm in calling, I suspect at this stage though they may not even do bloods. They might however book you a scan for when you're six weeks (apologies if I've missed something, just spotted that you're 4+5 but I'm so tired it is entirely possible I read this wrong....)

I've decided to wait for gp next Monday :/
Last year I had spotting and bleeding in the first tri. My gp did bloods apreaching around 5 weeks as the spotting had started and I self referred to epu where I was scanned just on 6 weeks.

How u feeling meg? Maybe it's just baby getting comfy!

Hev how did the midwife app go?

I'm having period like cramps at the mo, have been on the to for about an hr n a half, I'm not sure if it's a gd or bad sign x

Oh Meg, what a stress. Hope you can get the GP to do some bloods for you x

Oh meg  you're not getting an easy time of it are you? Has the spotting settled? xx

Lynne, I've replied to your other thread (don't want you to think I was ignoring you!) xx

Hev, that sounds awful  Have you tried eating little and often? One of my (many!) apps says to eat protein to help treat and prevent nausea and vomiting, worth a try? xx

The spotting has gone from very light, to a little fresher and back to light again. I have an excellent gp who was so kind and understanding when things went pear shaped before I think she'll agree to bloods without hesitation. Then she might push epu a little in the right direction knowing all the past history. I had tests and before and I know I don't have any blood clotting problems so I'm not concerned that I'm missing anything in that sense. It's all very exhausting! X

Thanks Janet, I made some home made lentil soup today and brought some crusty bread.
We went shopping today and it was the most awful shopping trip ever. I was heaving down all the isles thinking about the food so I had to go and sit in the car lol!

Scan tomorrow woooo! Xx

I hope you get a bit of rest from it all meg, and it's good that you have a supportive GP that you like x

Hev I can only imagine how difficult that shopping trip must've been, think your oh has to take up that duty from now on! Did you manage to eat anything today?x

Yes flower I did, I can eat cornflakes without gagging so I've had 2 small bowls, soup and some bread and an apple. The best I've done for a week! Also had lots of ginger tea! Xx

Ginger biscuits are my only friend at the moment Hev. Not sure I could stomach ginger tea though.

Ginger biscuits helped me through with DD xx

So glad you have a good GP you can trust, make such a difference. Have you tried seeing if you could just get a telephone consultation this week if she can't physically see you sooner than Monday?

I doubt there's much to say over the phone and I'd rather have bloods with my gp than epu at the moment.

Fair enough, just thinking if you speak to her she can ok the blood tests and you could then have those done this week.
