I've stopped taking the pill...

.... and I just wondered how long it will take before my actual normal period will kick in?

I have recently stopped my pill (was meant to restart it on Saturday 1st Feb) but have decided to stop it so that my I can see what my cycles are like naturally after 17 years on the pill, before we TTC in Sep.

I had a tiny bleed last week when I was on my weeks break but I believe it shouldnt be long until the real thing happens, which Im kinda dreading. I understand all bodys are different, just wondered if I should expect it anytime soon or could I be waiting 2 weeks or so, obviously it should be here before my next break would have been due...!? xxx

What pill were you on? And how far apart were your periods before?

When I came off the pill I had my break bleed and then first period 30days after.

I just looked back at the last time and it was about 30 days for me as well but the normal cycles returned the next month and regulated very quickly. Before I stopped I was on the pill for 10 years so similar to you.
It's fun to watch your body I think for reaction it's amazing how much the pill controls...

Im on the combined pill, Loestrin 30. Before the pill (a long time ago) they were all over the place which is why I was put on the pill, but now they obviously appear very lightly during my weeks break

Aww thanks Kat! I hope they do appear regularly, would be nice to see what my body's doing on its own, rather than the pill making it happen hoping I can know when Im ovulating in time before TTC
