I got a call lastnight from a marketing firm, I keep my CV updated on a couple of internet recruitment sites just incase that dream job crops up one day, and I think it has

My current job is great (well i get to come on here most of the day lol) but its quite boring and ive tried and tried to get more involved in the marketing side of things as that is my forte, and what I was promised when I started, but a year later im still doing admin and getting very bored.

So anyway, i got this call lastnight from a marketing firm who want to train me up as a marketing manager, starting on 19k a year, and its just round the corner from where OH works!

Im popping down there this arvo (told work I have a docs appointment lol) to have a chat about it.......sounds exiting though as they do the UK marketing for Disney

well I was called back for a second interview today, from 10.30 to 5.30!

Im going to start by asking about salary and hours though cos it was all a bit rushed yesterday, theres no point wasting a whole day if its not the salary im expecting

Just catching up a bit before I go and get showered and ready, I'll let you know how I get on today - but a 7 hour interview is gonna be mad lol

ok so basically I was under the impression this was a trainee marketing manager position, but they wanted me to go out all day today trying to sell cosmetics to shops in cardiff!!!

So I said before I do that, can you please explain to me the exact position on offer here, and he said well you'll see by the end of today. I said ok other than wasting everyones time here, because I have my own criteria and an interview is a 2 way street, why dont you just tell me now? He refused to tell me, so i said its cold selling isnt it, and he said well yes, so I said thank you for your time but im not a salesperson, especially not cold seling, and he said well we're paying for your lunch and travel!!!! Yeah right cos thats a great incentive for me to be free labour cold selling for a day
