itchy??

The past few weeks the tops of my arms & chest have been extremely itchy. Havent got a rash or bites or anything but last week i came up in this rash (where iv been itchy) i can only compare it to sunburn. It was on fire and so so itchy! The only thing i changed was my shower gel. I have used it since to see if it was a reaction to that but it hasnt happened again.

Has anyone else been really itchy or had a rash like this durig pregnancy.
I dont know if it is pregnancy related but i will be showimg my midwife when i see her.

Wow that looks so painful. The first day I started itching because of my obstetric cholestatis I came out in a rash over my chest and bump. In a few hours it was gone and the itching was solely my hands and feet. I sent the pictures of my rash to my midwife straight away and she told me to call triage. When I went in the doctor reassured me I didn't have OC, but when my bloods came back the next day it showed that I do. Better to be safe than sorry hun. Hope it's nothing to worry about an just heat rash or something xx

Iv never heard of that... what is it? Was your rash similar to this? I think its strange it took this long to come up if its related to the itchyness. It went away after about 2 hours. Iv to get my bloods taken at this next appointment so il maybe mention if they can check for this too if she is concerned. Xx

It's a liver condition and you need close monitoring with it. My rash didn't look like that, no, but was the same in terms of only lasting a couple of hours and was only the once. You should only worry about OC if its constant itching of the palms of hand and soles of feet. But definitely mention it hun. Keep us updated xx

When my oc started it felt like I was on fire and extremely itchy like you described. Within a couple of days it was just my hands and feet, definitely ring to get some advice and request a blood test hun xxx

Hoping its nothing! Ringing in the morning. Hopefully il get an appointment for the same day but ny doctors are an absolute nightmare. Probably wont get anything till next week. Even if my head was hanging off theyd be asking if its still an emergancy lmao xx

I didn't bother with the doctors. Even when I got diagnosed and I saw my GP after, he laughed in my face and said "I don't believe you have oc" and actually rang the hospital in front of me xx
