I'm going to buy an isofix car seat base. But before I do are they really worth the money? I've read up on them and they seem safer and easier but are they? Just wanted some feedback from ladies that know. Xx

Yes yes yes, we had a maxi cost pebble car seat and maxi coding family fix base. I loved it because;
1) it beeped every time I put it in so I knew that it was in safely.
2) it was so fast to get baby in and out of the car, godsend if it was raining.
3) it saved my back, I've suffered with a bad back for years and this was so much easier than scrambling around reaching over the seat for seat belts etc.

Hope that helps xx

I know I'm in the sting tri here lol but they are do worth the money! They're so easy to get in and out and baby diesnt wake up, not to mention the fact that it gives you peace of mind that they're secure and safe.

I have only been using my isofix for the last 4 weeks and it's paying for its self. It makes things so much easier especially of its raining xx

Yes they are worth it as they make life so much easier (and baby safer). The few times I used the belt it was such a hassle. xx

Thanks ladies. 😊 Sounds like i better get buying it. Xx

I didn't have one last time, as I didn't have any points to fix it in, but this time I do and I got one to go with maxi cosi seat. Got a steal on gumtree for £30 too :)

Looking forward to the ease!! Also 4 door car should help. Trying to get over losing the mini, but seeing the positives with my mum bus now...

Yup! We have 3 in our car now!!! So much easier than faffing about with seatbelts plus the seats don't move, I was surprised at how much movement there is with just a seatbelt. X

110% worth every single penny! I always loved to hear the beep and see the light and knew she was in secure. Especially when in a hurry or raining etc... We have the family fix base and still use it for my 3 year old as we bought the next size up car seat I want to say Pearl, for her after she came out her cabrio-fix. So will have been used for 4 years when we're finished with it.
We have bought a new one for number 2 as we still have a year in her current car seat.

We went for maxicosy 2wayfix base, to have the option of backward facing until age of 4 x

I love mine, so much easier to get in and out of the car xx

100% I spoke to mum friends and they said it is so worth it as much easier! But then I had a few say seatbelt fixed ones arent that hard but I just see it is a right faff!

We have the two way maxi cosi base so baby can stay rear facing for longer with the next stage car seat! x

Same as KHTW and Weeza - 2way maxi cosy isofix (especially with the new legislation coming in about rear facing for longer) I'm a ftm but my friend said it was the best investment they made! Xxx

Isofix is a complete back and time saver! Worth every single penny. We started off with a baby seat Isofix and then moved up to a Britax Isofix up to 4years. How people survived without Isofix is a mystery to me!

I've bought ours tonight- got a barely used one from a local selling site for £40! Checked it clicked and the lights worked etc. Looking forward to using this instead of playing cats cradle with the seatbelt! Xx

SO worth it! Not only for the ease of use, but because it is so much safer. We have bought a base for each of our two cars this time.
