Born at 06:39 weighing 7lb 7oz and just perfect!

Heres our birthing story....Bear with me i cant do dtraight to the point!
Friday 24/08/12 began what seemed like labour after a sweep at lunchtime, had contractions every 3-5 mins until approx 7pm then it all died down and contractions stopped. went to bed only to be awoken by terrible pains at 2am contracting every 5-7mins but quite unbearable so headed to hospital around 3am. contractions slowed then stopped then started...only 1cm dilated so hospital sent me home st 10am after another two sweeps....contractions stopped altogether around 11am and i realised i must have been in false labour so spend the afternoon catching up on sleep and making the most of the pain free experience!
Saturday 25/08/12 get off to bed early after such an eventful night noticing the odd period cramp in my back but trying to ignore them due to previous nights false labour.
Sunday 26/08/12....3am -awoke to a sharp 'thud' and pop sensation in my foofie - literally woke me up with a start although not painful at all. After laying on my side for a few mins to gather my thoughts i decided i needef to stand up....and then i noticed the trickle...waters had gone. woke dh and headed downstairs to see what was happening and yep wet knickers! Then shortly after had a knee trembling contraction that made me realuse the difference between false and real labour! Followed by another 2mins later and so they continued so we phoned hosp and set off approx 3:45 as its an hours drive. constantly in pain and continuing the 2min contractions.
3/4 of the way there i start demanding dh run red lights and ignore speed limits as i was in such agony and feeling a slight urge to push......we get to hosp around 5am can no longer walk so wheeled in wheelchair. on examination was 7cm dilated and began sucking on the good stuff that is entinox for a little relief. within mins i asked for pethidine too ss i was in such agony having contractions every minute. at 5:45 felt an urgent need to push and on exam was fully dilated so began pushing at 6am.
39 mins later Isla was born with the cord around her neck but quickly released by mw (explained the awful drops in her heartrate on the monitor) she didnt cry until given vit k injection later which worried me but she was just fine and contented (still is only heard her cry that once so far) i had grade 2tear but mw decided not to stitch and a labia tear also. Bit stingy when weeing!
I felt fine soon after so had shower at 8am and moved to ward at 9.30 am requested 6hr discharge and so home by 3pm this afternoon. Isla has been sleeping mostly and has latched on to booby fine. her big sister Niamh is totally in love with her baby sister and we think shes a bit of alright too! Lol
