After waters breaking Tuesday evening I was sent home for contractions to start. Went In when 5 mins apart and painful only to be told I was only 2cm dilated and sent home again with the midwife saying it would prob be at least 2 hours before I'd be ready for labour ward.
On returning home contractions were SO painful and had to go back after 1.5 hours. Was left waiting an hour to be examined and was then 7cm! (don't think midwife believed I'd progressed hence the wait!)
Finally got into birthing pool and after 2 hours with no additional pain relief Sadie was born at 5.27pm weighing 6.9lbs and she's gorgeous!
Unfortunately she has retained quite a bit of mucous (apparently common in water births) so have had to stay overnight. Unable to sleep hence on here!
Just can't wait to get her home now xxx
