I gave birth to my son 10 days ago and needed a lot of stitches afterwards. Everything has been fine until today my bleeding has been a bit more and I've had a couple of clots the size of a 50p piece is this normal? X

Probably nothing to worry about, but would be worth giving your on-call midwife office a ring, they'll be able to give you advice. Might say fir you to go to DAU to get checked over. Have you had your 10 day check yet? x

Tapatalking!

Thanks for replying I've got my 10 day check on we'd had a check on Friday everything was fine I just passed another clot but it was bigger this time I don't feel crampy or anything my appetite is a bit funny but just putting that down to tiredness not had any pain with it so think it'll b ok gonna keep am eye on it this evening and phone mw in the morning just to check x

Yeah see what happens tonight but def give them a ring in the morning to put your mind at ease. Let me know how you get on xx

Tapatalking!

My MW said that small blood clots are quite normal...but if you get any that are bigger than a 50p, to get in touch with her asap - just so you can get checked over for peace of mind.

I used to find as well that if I over exerted myself in the early days, my bleeding would get heavier with bigger clots...try and take it easy :-) xx
