My doctors called me today asking if I wanted the flu jab. Im asthmatic so its something I usually have as a precaution.

I havent had a chance yet to talk to my doctor yet but just wondered if anyone knew if its ok to have the flu jab when pregnant? I got even more concerned when the person booking the flu jabs said it also covers pneumonia.

Just wondering if any of you have had the jab and your doctors have said its ok when pregnant. I will find out from my own doctor but thats not until next week

Thanks.

don't know- sorry :(

check with your doc before though just in case

Hey sorry i know this has already been answered, but, i asked my midwife this and she said it was probably best not to have it just in case because although they say it is safe they haven't done any clinical trials with it (because who would volunteer for them?!!!) She then said that she personally wouldn't have it so i am not going to bother this year, will just take vitamins and eat as healthily as i can.
