No, it's not that. I used to work for a caravan sales and servicing centre and we got customers to take their vehicles in for 9am so that if the customer needed to talk to a service engineer as a rule they were done talking to the customers about any particular problems by 10am at the very latest and then they are free to work the rest of the day.

I work at a garage and they just toddle along at their own pace. They were flat out one day, but i forgot my car ran out of MOT. I ran in to see if they could fit me in and my keys were collected 10mins later and certificate handed to me 45mins after that. Yet they had a string of jobs to do and i was the one answering the phone to not-so-happy customers.
