Ok so Im pretty sure ive got an irritated cervix as the last 2 times we had sex I had a little pink spotting which stopped straight away, there was no pain either.
I had this early on in T1 too & everything seems fine with baby but someone said the other day it means I cant have sex ever again until baby gets here as it can bring on premature labour?
I cant find the thread now but does anyone else know?
When I searcxh online it just says its fairly common because of broken blood vessels & to avoid sex for around a week to give chance for the cervix to calm down.
I'm seriously going to struggle to go 10 weeks then another 6 weeks after babys birth (4 months OMG!) as weve hardly been able to do it with me being so ill for the first 7 months anyway :(
Does anyone know? Not seeing my Midwife til next week & if I ring her shes always busy x

I'm not entirely sure hun, sorry :( Didn't want to read and run.....there might be others who will know though

x

Thanks Pinky, everyone else has read & run lol x

Hehe, I was thinking I don't know but go you with your sex drive!

I had a problem with my cervix in the 2nd tri, they just told me not to have sex for a week or two. I don't think it does the baby ay harm if you do though, so I suppose if you don't mind a bit of blood then just go for it. Cant see how it would bring on labour? I've been having sex and its not done me any harm, although ive not had any more bleeding since week 16

I was told by the midwifes at 22 weeks that I wasn't allowed to have sex due to bleeding hun so that's 18 weeks + 6 weeks after baby no nookie for, but I'm not to fussed as healthy babys more important :)

Ps was told by the consultant when I went in for bleeding that the blood can irritate the cervix and cause it to start opening hence why first thing they do when you go to the hospital for bleeding is have a look at your cervix

Ohh it might have been you Lou that said it on the other post I cant remember? thats why i wanted to double check it?
Lol cantstop its not particularly brilliant now trust me but Im desperate after 7 months of virtually nothing apart from one incident where our bed broke through sheer pent up frustration on the one day I didnt vomit constantly hahahahaha x

Didn't want to read and run but you can always ask Doctor Google.. thats what I tend to do  xx

Yeah I did Crimson but it just says its the extra blood vessels so Im totally confuzzled now x

Your best bet is to ask your midwife, tell her exactly what you have told us and see what she says hun

Yeah looks like I'll just have to wait til Friday boohoo :( x

I say see your midwife too hun! I am sure its nothing to worry about though xxx
