Hello all
,
I have been lurking in the 'pregnancy chat' forum for a few months, but I rolled into the third trimester on Wednesday (27 weeks) so thought I would perch myself in here until the big day arrives. My due date is the 26th January. Hubby and me found out we are having a boy at my 20 week scan, and we are both very much looking forward to meeting him
Is anyone signed up to the Bounty or Boots club? I get weekly emails that I love to read, because they tell me about my health, along with tips and my babies development. Although this week I wasn't doing my usual "Awww bless" routine when reading about bubs' development, instead I was mortified to read that from 27 weeks bubs can cry, but will comfort himself by thumb sucking
I really don't like to think of my little man being upset without me knowing or being able to comfort him
My husband on the other hand merely replied to being told this "what on earth has he got to be upset about, he's warm and cosy in there" He's so good at putting my mind at rest
!! lol
Well, I'll be honest I'm VERY nervous about the labour. As a first time Mum it is the only thing I have been anxious about since day one of knowing I had concieved. I haven't exactly hit it off with my midwife. We haven't had any 'words' or anything like that, I just find her to be rather old fashioned and very matter of fact. I'm one of these girls who likes reassurance. I'm hoping now that my appointments are more regular that I'll learn more and can 'take in' the ins and outs of what to expect etc and that my mind will adapt to what is yet to come
Looking forward to getting to know you all and hearing your stories
