Insect repellent

Living so close to the river we get lots of mozzies and other nasty biting things here, is there an insect repellent for babies? The OH's family suffer really badly when bitten and am worried Bertie would be the same. I hardly get bitten and if I do I don't react, hopefully he'll take after me xxxxxxxx
